Patton Talks Failed Retirement Bill

Most legislators had a pretty good assumption that changes to the state's retirement system probably wouldn't make it past the introduction stage of this year's budget session. House Bill 91 failed to make it to committee on a 30 to 30 vote.

Governor Mead to Petition U.S. Supreme Court to Hear Roadless Rule Case

A little over a week ago, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals issued an order denying Wyoming's petition for a rehearing en banc in the roadless rule case. This decision by the Court upheld its reversal of a decision by Judge Clarence Brimmer.

Gospel Artist to Perform For Public Today At Veterans Home

Gospel singer/songwriter/entertainer Ron Hughes will perform today at the Veteran's Home of Wyoming west of Buffalo.
The concert is free and open to the public.

Legislature Debates Community College Funding

Representative Rosie Berger, co-chair of the Joint Appropriations Committee, says budget discussions are well underway in Cheyenne as yesterday in the House they heard 48 amendments on second reading for the budget bill or House Bill 1.
