Johnson County HS Weekend Wrap: Win Some, Lose Some

Another busy weekend for high school sports in Johnson County is in the books, and the teams had a fair weekend.
The Bison basketball teams played just one game each this weekend.
The boys played at Rawlins Friday night and came away with a 56-48 win over the Outlaws.
The girls hosted the Lady Outlaws and fell 57-40.
Also on Friday, the Kaycee Buckaroos ran away from Arvada-Clearmont 88-42, while the Lady Bucs beat the Lady Panthers 56-39.
Both Kaycee teams struggled on Saturday, eventually losing to Lingle.
The Kaycee boys lost 50-36 and the girls lost 41-35.

Buffalo Council Approves City Attorney's Resolutions

At their meeting last week, the Buffalo City Council approved Resolutions drafted by City Attorney Ben Kirven, dealing with drug testing policy changes for city employees and a grant to fund the Southwest Quadrant project.

Johnson County Receives Funding For Rural Signage, Schools

The Johnson County Commissioners, at last week's meeting, accepted Federal funding and earmarked it for rural signage of roads and houses in the county.

After Tuesday's Johnson County Commissioner's meeting, the task of choosing which projects to concentrate on at the fairgrounds fell to the Johnson County Fair Board.
