Saturday night at the Sheridan Holiday Inn, the Powder River Basin Resource Council held its annual meeting marking 40 years of encouraging responsible development in Wyoming.

Movember Kickoff, Buffalo Style

Buffalo's Movember kickoff event was held at the Occidental Hotel November 1st. Local men shaved their mustaches and will spend the month growing them back to raise awareness for men's health issues. Photos by Krista Palmer.

SHS Drama Club's "The Odd Couple"

The Sheridan High School Drama Club proudly presents "The Odd Couple" - in two versions: Men's Version and Women's Version. 11 Layoffs at Black Hills Corp.

Black Hills Corp. has laid off 11 of its workers at the Wyodak coal mine north of Gillette.

Black Hills external affairs manager Wes Ashton tells the Gillette News-Record the layoffs are in response to changing market conditions.

The layoffs leave the surface coal mine with 69 employees.
