CORRECTED: Sheridan Woman Dies from Injuries Sustained in Labor Day Weekend Motorcycle Crash

A Sheridan woman died at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings Wednesday as a result of her injuries sustained when she was thrown from her motorcycle in a crash during the Labor Day weekend on US 14 near Sibley Lake, according to a media release from the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

New Jo Co Justice Center Welcomes Visitors

The New Buffalo/Johnson County Criminal Justice Center had their official ribbon cutting on Thursday and welcomed visitors with a free meal and tours of both the old and new facility.

Bison, Bucks Sports Weekend Preview

All of the Johnson County teams will be in action this weekend, both at home and on the road.
The No. 2-ranked Buffalo Bison football team, coming off a 21-0 win at Worland, will host third-ranked Powell at the Bison Bowl Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7pm.
The volleyball team took on the Rawlins Lady Outlaws in a conference matchup Thursday night, and will stay for the Rawlins Invite today and Saturday.
The cross country team will compete in the Wayne Chaney Invite today in Gillette.
The swim team will be in Powell today for their invitational.

Jo Co Commission Approves Site For Off-Track Betting

Betting on horse racing got easier to do in Johnson County, after the County Commissioners approved a request from investors looking to put a site in Buffalo. The Commissioners approved the site at their meeting Tuesday.

JAC to Receive Retirement System Update Today

The State Legislature's Joint Appropriations Committee has been meeting in Cheyenne to discuss issues that will be addressed during the next legislative session in early 2012.
