WAM Awards Community Hero Recipients

During the 2012 Wyoming Association of Municipalities Convention, or WAM, held last week in Sheridan, several Community Hero awards were bestowed upon two combined Sheridan groups at a banquet Friday night.

ALL-STAR HOOPS - The first two games of the annual Wyoming / Montana high school all star basketball series were split both Friday and Saturday as the Wyoming boys swept Montana and the Montana girls swept for the second year in a row.

Wyoming girls coach Frank McCarthy says they ran into a pretty good Montana team.

After winning big in Sheridan Friday team Wyoming played from behind all night Saturday but tied the game late and won in overtime.

Renovation of the Historic Inn Continues

The Sheridan Heritage Center is in the final stages of completing the renovation of the Historic Sheridan Inn. Once the second and third floors are complete, the Inn will function as a fully operational hotel with twenty-two themed rooms designed around the life of a notable figure from Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show.

North Sheridan Area Revitalization Survey
