Local girls compete in 2011 All-Star Basketball against Montana

Three local area girls, #24 Dallas Shaw, from Buffalo High School; #20 Kayla Woodward and #12 Brianna Smith (on the right) both from Sheridan High School competed on the 2011 Wyoming Girls All-Star Basketball team against Montana Friday evening. It was a rough night for Wyoming as reflected on the score board in the 3rd period of play in the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome at Sheridan College.

Local 2011 Wyoming Boys All-Stars put 33 points on the board as the 36th Annual NCAA Wyoming-Montana All-Star Games got underway in the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome at Sheridan College on Friday evening.

Friday evening between games at the 36th Annual NCAA Wyoming-Montana All-Stars Basketball being held in the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome at Sheridan College Miss and Mr. Basketball awards were presented. Sheridan's very own Bruce Hoffman presented framed Wyoming #1 jerseys to Jordan Kelley, from Campbell County High School and Taran Brown also from Campbell County High School.


Bronc Raith Durham and the WYO All stars beat Montana 92-77

WYOMING ALL-STAR HOOPS - The Wyoming and Montana All-stars split their games in the Hoffman dome at Sheridan college Friday night.

The Montana girls got off to a fast start and ran away from the Wyoming girls building up a 50-29 lead at the half and cruised to a 94-65 victory.

They play again tonight in Billings tipoff is at 6:00 you can hear the game live on 14-10 KWYO pregame starts at 5:30.

The Wyoming boys led nearly the whole way Friday night and beat Montana 92-77. It was the first win in Sheridan for the Wyoming boys since 2002.

Things Are Happening at the “Inn”

Over the past few days the Historic Sheridan Inn has been host to a welcome reception for the Wyoming Association of Municipalities Convention and the kickoff event to the 10th annual Celebrate the Arts festival.

4-H Junior Leaders Hosting Science Camp

In and effort to “give young kids something to do,” the Junior Leaders of the Sheridan County 4-H program are hosting a one-day Science Camp later this month.

Beartooth Highway Now Open

Yellowstone National Park announced Friday that U.S. Highway 212, or Beartooth Highway, is now open for the summer season. This came after late spring snowstorms caused a two-week delay in its scheduled opening date of Memorial Day.
