Bronc Senior Dawson Osborn receives football foundation scholarship

Dawson Osborn, of Sheridan HS, received a scholarship for $1200 from the National Football Foundation Wyoming Chapter on Saturday night in Laramie.He was one of three 4A finalist to receive this award.

The Foundation awarded over $22000 to various student-athletes from around the state at their annual banquet Saturday night. Alex Welch was also a nominee from Sheridan High School.

Just in time? This robin was seen and heard in Big Horn perhaps announcing that Spring 2011 officially starts in our part of the country at midnight Sunday, March 20th. I wonder how far this robin had to fly in order to be here for the occasion or perhaps this is a hearty soul who spent the winter with us.

Sheridan Man Arrested for Attempted Murder

A shooting in Sheridan Saturday night put one man in jail for Attempted Murder and another in a hospital in Billings. Lieutenant Chris Dahmke with the Sheridan Police explains what took place.


Sheridan college Rodeo coach Marc Gilkerson

Sheridan College went to Gillette this weekend for their first rodeo of the spring season.

Sheridan had a good weekend freshman Shane Stevens from Hawk Springs, WY has had great success in Gillette this year. Earlier this winter Shane was 80 points in the bareback riding at the PRCA rodeo in gillette and placed second.

This weekend he was 82 points on a rank Burch Rodeo bareback horse to win the long go and 74 in the short go to win the short round.

Buffalo All-Years Reunion Needs Volunteers

A number of Buffalo High School Alumni are planning an all-years reunion this summer, and are looking for people to help organize events, come up with ideas for events, or to just get the word out on the reunion.

Bison Soccer: Boys Lose, Girls Win

The Bison boys' soccer team Kicked off their 2011 season at the North Casper Soccer Complex on Friday, taking on Jackson.
The defending State Champion Bison suffered their first setback, losing 1-0 to the Broncs.
The next game for the Bison will be Tuesday when they travel to Gillette to take on the Camels.
The Bison girls began their season at home on Saturday, hosting the Kelly Walsh Lady Trojans. The game went to overtime before Buffalo finally beat Kelly Walsh 2-1.
The Lady Bison will host Gillette on Tuesday at Buffalo High School.

Buffalo Council Approves Variance for City Water

The Buffalo City Council, at their meeting last week, approved a variance agreement to provide city water to a county resident on Fairgrounds Road.
