JC Courthouse to Receive Video Equipment

The Johnson County Courthouse will be getting equipment from the Wyoming Supreme Court that will allow video conferencing, video court proceedings and other meetings between Buffalo and essentially the world.

Bison Weekend Sports Preview

Coming up this weekend, the Bison basketball teams will have important conference games against Wheatland and Torrington.
The Lady Bison will be without one of their starters and will have another hobbled for the last month of the season.

Representatives of the Advocacy and Resource Center in Sheridan were guests on News Talk 930 KROE'S Public Pulse program Thursday. The topic of discussion dealt with February being Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.

Plea Agreement Rejected; Judge Hands Down Sentence

Thursday in 4th Judicial District Court, Judge John Fenn rejected the plea agreement between the State and defendant Lydia Morrison. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has the story.

Pennies for Presidents Day is Underway

The 8th annual “Pennies for Presidents Day” fundraiser is underway in Sheridan. Sheridan Senior Center Activities Director Jane Perkins says it's time to clean out the sofas and lazy-boys for a good cause.

State Supplemental Budget Released

Three weeks after the 2011 Wyoming Legislative Session began, the Joint Appropriation Committee, or JAC, has released its $667.3 million supplemental budget bill. The bill, known as HB0001 is available to read on the Wyoming Legislature's website, a link is here:

Man Charged With 1st Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor Changes Plea In District Court

A pretrial conference was scheduled Thursday morning in 4th Judicial District Court in Sheridan County for 55-year-old Sheridan resident Curtis Scheckla. Scheckla is charged with 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor for fondling and inappropriately touching a 5-year-old girl last summer.

Pedestrian Killed in Hit & Run

A tragic incident occurred just south of Cheyenne January 25th on US Highway 85. Sgt. Stephen Townsend with the Wyoming Highway Patrol issued a report Thursday indicating that a pedestrian who was walking on the highway had been struck by a vehicle. Sgt.
