Dylan & Camdyn Meet Santa & Mrs. Claus (updated)

Youngsters from two different families, Dylan and Camdyn, shared a few moments with Santa and Mrs. Claus as part of the kick off to the 16th Annual Christmas Stroll - "Stroll The Wild West" - got underway. Stroll night in historic Downtown Sheridan went from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with local retailers open for holiday shopping.

During the 31st Annual Running of the Turkey Trot, shirts that read "Boot Camp by Val" caught the eyes of many. Having been to Marine Boot Camp years ago I was intrigued to learn more. Valeria Granata, recently from Rio De Janeiro, has brought Boot Camp by Val to Sheridan. Boot Camp is a very intense work out program where as Val puts it, "You get results with lots of fun.

Sen. Barrasso Spends Thanksgiving With Troops In Kosovo

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - U.S. Sen. John Barrasso spent Thanksgiving with Wyoming National Guard troops serving in Kosovo.

Mead Praises Private Industry For Unemployment Decrease

Wyoming Governor Matt Mead, in a media release from his office this week, praised private industry including energy, tourism and agriculture for creating jobs in Wyoming.


GENERALS / LADY GENERALS HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams host annual Sheridan Lions club Thanksgiving basketball classic at the Hoffman dome.

Four games will be play today and tomorrow, games will be played at 1:00, 3:00, 5:00 and 7:00 the Lady Generals will play at 5:00 and the Generals at 7:00.

All day passes will be sold at the door proceeds go to the Sheridan Lions club for their local eye glasses program.

Lady Generals Head coach Frank McCarthy likes what he's seen from the players over the first seven games.

City of Sheridan Working on Modifying Cemetery Code

In an effort to clean up some archaic language in code pertaining to the Municipal Cemetery, the Sheridan City Council is in the process of adopting an ordinance modifying the operations at the cemetery.

Buffalo Chamber Calendars On Sale In Time For Christmas

The Buffalo Chamber of Commerce has compiled photos from area photographers and put them together in a Chamber Calendar for 2012.
