Broncs set to host the Camels in the "Energy Bowl" Friday night

The 2010 "Energy Bowl' is tomorow night

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team will host Gillette tomorrow night the Broncs are 4-0 the Camels are 3-1 and winners of three straight since a season opening loss against Evanston.

This is a big one for the Broncs as they look to keep their playoff position and get ready to face their biggest rival Head coach Don Julian.

Austin Woodward named finalist for National Football Foundation award

The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) announced the names of the 31 finalists for the 2010 NFF High School National Scholar-Athlete Awards, which will honor one young man from each of the 5 regions of the country, as the best and the brightest for their accomplishments as athletes, scholars and citizens at the high school level.

The five winners, who are now playing college football but are being recognized for their previous accomplishments in high school, will be announced the week of October 4.

Physician Recruitment Continues at Sheridan Memorial

Sheridan Memorial Hospital continues the recruitment process for an Internal Medicine physician to join Big Horn Mountain Medicine, which is the Hospital's Primary Care Practice.

There are currently two doctors on staff; a third will join the team in early 2011. The goal is to have four full-time physicians on staff in the not-too-distant future.

Oktoberfest To Take Place Saturday in Buffalo

1st annual Oktoberfest Celebration will be this Saturday in downtown Buffalo.

The Buffalo Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first of what they hope to be annual Oktoberfest celebrations, this Saturday, September 25th in downtown Buffalo.

One of the highlights will be a home brew contest sponsored by New Belgium Brewery. Buffalo Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Angela Jarvis explains.

School Districts Statewide Need Varicella Vaccinations

The beautiful new Big Horn High School Auditorium was the location for this month's Sheridan County School District 1 Board of Trustees meeting.

Action taken at the meeting: trustees approved moving the October Board meeting to Monday, October 18th to allow people to attend the candidate forum on the 19th at Sheridan College.
