Candidates for Superintendent of Public Instruction

The two candidates running for State Superintendent of Public Instruction were Kim Love's guests on the September 29th edition of Public Pulse. Republican Cindy Hill and Democrat Mike Massie answered questions that both Love and guest host Sue Belish, Superintendent of Sheridan County School District 1 posed.

Photos Wanted for Museum Calendar Contest

For the past several years as a means to raise money for the Sheridan County Museum, Photo Imaging Center in Sheridan and Sheridan Media, along with twelve area businesses, have sponsored a Calendar Photo Contest. For the 2011 calendar, they are looking for photos, taken within a 100-mile radius of Sheridan County, that fit the theme “Sheridan County: Your Backyard & Beyond.”

Sheridan high school has one state title this season and is looking for more this weekend

The Lady Bronc Tennis Team goes after the school's second state title this weekend

SHS STATE TITLES - The Sheridan Bronc golfers won the 2010 state golf title last week and today the Lady Bronc tennis teams begins their quest for a state title in Cheyenne at the Wyoming state tennis tournament.

Sheridan high school Athletic Director Don Julian says the golfers got the sports year started with their title a week ago and says the Broncs made it goal number one to win it this year after being the runner up a year ago.

Community Assessment Wrap Up

The Community Assessment Team from the Wyoming Rural Development Council goes over the findings of the two-day assessment at Sheridan City Hall.

Two teams from the Wyoming Rural Development Council wrapped up their two day community assessment in Sheridan with a Town Hall meeting Wednesday at Sheridan City Hall. The assessment was a five year follow up to the one that was conducted in 2004.

Sheridan Memorial Holds Disaster Drill Exercise

Staff with Sheridan Memorial Hospital took part in a disaster drill exercise Wednesday.

Sheridan Memorial Hospital conducted a couple of emergency decontamination disaster drills Wednesday. Students from Sheridan High School participated in the training exercise by posing as patients that had been contaminated by an explosion in the school's lab.

Enzi Seeks to Overturn Health Care Regulation

U.S. Senator Mike Enzi

U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, who is a ranking member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, urged the Senate Wednesday to move forward on the consideration of a Resolution of Disapproval that would overturn a new health care regulation that breaks President Obama's promise.
