Constitution Day Ceremony at City Hall

Constitution Day was celebrated at Sheridan City Hall Friday.

The Sheridan City Council convened for a special session Friday afternoon for Constitution Day as Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey proclaimed September, 17th through the 23rd as National Constitution Week. At 3 o'clock the bell in front of Sheridan City Hall rang three times to commemorate the exact time the United States Constitution was enacted 223 years ago.

Two Arraignments Held in District Court Thursday

36-year-old Sheridan resident Jason Lyles was arraigned in 4th Judicial District Court Thursday. Lyles is charged with two felonies; Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine; and Endangering Children.

James Mack Has Initial Appearance In Circuit Court

James Mack has his initial appearence in Circuit Court on a felony cruelty to animals charge.

64-year-old Sheridan resident James Mack had his initial appearance in Sheridan County Circuit Court Thursday on a felony Aggravated Cruelty to Animals charge. On July 26th, 2010, Mack allegedly beat a fawn to death in the front yard of his home on Thurmond Avenue in Sheridan. Mack was initially cited by the Wyoming Game and Fish and the State for two misdemeanors.

Woman Injured at Street Festival

45-year-old Sheridan area resident Jerry Lee Larsen was arrested after a traffic crash Thursday night. A media release from the Sheridan Police Department indicates that Larsen allegedly crashed his car into barricades at Main and Alger Streets, at approximately 7:30 pm Thursday evening.

A Centenary Celebration
