Weekend Fun in Buffalo

The events in Buffalo this past weekend kept everyone busy and shoppers of all ages braved the cold to take advantage of great deals at local vendors. Sheridan Media News Director in Johnson County, Aaron Palmer, takes a look back.

Johnson County Commission Preview

The Johnson County Commission looks to have a full agenda at their next meeting Tuesday, Dec 7th. Aaron Palmer has more.

County road closure in effect through Wednesday

Johnson County Road and Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer has announced that Johnson County Road and Bridge will be resurfacing Stockyard Road, also known as County Road 8.
Therefore, Stockyard Road will be closed from 8am to 3:30pm Monday, December 6 through Wednesday, December 8.

Lady Bison drop top-ranked Jackson

The Buffalo Lady Bison traveled to Cody last weekend for the 3A East/West Tournament hosted by the Cody Fillies.
In their opening game Friday, Buffalo faced off against preseason No.1 Jackson.
The Lady Bison scrapped their way to a 57-44 win, led by Dallas Shaw's 30 points.
In the early game Saturday, Buffalo took on Pinedale, winning in a blowout 62-14.
Their late game on Saturday had the Lady Bison against the host team Cody Fillies, and Buffalo held on for a 55-47 win.
Buffalo starts off the season 3-0 and will host Sheridan Friday night and host Newcastle on Saturday.

Bison Boys open 3-0 at tournament

The Buffalo boys' basketball team hosted the 3A East/West Tournament over the weekend, and swept all three games in the process.

CCMS Winter concert Monday

Clear Creek Middle School will present its Winter Concert Monday, Dec. 6th at the Buffalo High School Auditorium.
The bands and choirs will perform traditional Holiday music as well as some fun and familiar non-Holiday music as well.


The Sheridan Bronc Wrestlers opened the 2010-11 season with a 6th place finish a tournament in Powell.

The Bronc's 145 pounder Trevor Goss was the Broncs lone champion and was named the Co-outstanding varsity wrestler for the event.

This coming week the Broncs will be split into JV'S and Varsity and will travel. The JV's will compete at a tournament in Forsyth, Montana while the Varsity head to an invitational in Rapid City.
