College Board Candidates Discuss Funding

Though they don't always get as many headlines as the larger races, there are many contests in this upcoming election that could significantly alter, depending on there outcomes, the future of our local communities.

An announcement came out this week that within a year, all Wyoming state agencies will be on a Google-based email system.

WYO Gala Tonight: Return to the Forbidden Planet

Return to the Forbidden Planet, or what they're calling Shakespeare's “forgotten rock & roll masterpiece,” is the WYO Theater's annual Gala. The show is tonight at the WYO Theater in Sheridan. Director Doug Sheehan says Forbidden Planet is probably unlike any Shakespeare you've ever seen or read before:

Sheridan Hockey Student-Athletes Selected to Team Wyoming

SHERIDAN YOUTH HOCKEY - Nine local student-athletes have been selected to represent the State of Wyoming in hockey this season. These players were selected from try-outs conducted in August and September in Casper and Rock Springs.

In the Pee Wee division (11 and 12 years of age) three players were named to the team – Barak Broad, son of Kelly and Stormy Broad; and Sandis Cook, son of Chris and Cori Cook. Griff Milner, son of Brent and Lisa Milner, was named as an alternate.




Wyo. Vision won the 2010 adult flag football championship with a victory over Summit Realty Group by the score of 52-20 last night at Dan Madia Field. Wyo. Vision went into the playoffs the # 2 seed and finished the season with a record of 9-2. Congratulations to Wyo. Vision and to all the teams that participated in the league this year.

Raising Readers Bookfest & Feast Tomorrow

Tomorrow morning at the Sheridan Junior High School cafeteria and gymnasium, the 3rd Annual Raising Readers Bookfest & Feast will take place, and is open to the entire family. Money raised goes to increase program visibility for doctors' office children's books, book plates on the back of the books and book marks indicating that Raising Readers provided the books.

Varied Pleas in District Court

Three separate defendants were arraigned in 4th Judicial District Court Thursday. First, 33-year-old Daniel Brown, represented by Hardy Tate, went before Judge John Fenn, arraigned on one count of Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine. Brown allegedly delivered the drug in Sheridan County on August 3rd of this year.
