DSA Holds Annual Awards Meeting

Sheridan Media was recognized by the DSA for their work with the Farmers Market .

The Downtown Sheridan Association held their Annual Awards Meeting Tuesday night at the Elks Lodge in Downtown Sheridan. The event is held every year to recognize and acknowledge businesses within the community that have helped out or contributed to the community in any way.

Wanted: One Stolen Quilt

This quilt was stolen last Wednesday from the Fiber Arts Show at the Sheridan Fulmer Library.

The 15' x 20' quilt that was stolen from the Sheridan County Fulmer Library's Fiber Arts show last week has a little bit of history behind it. Last year a sweater was stolen from the exhibit, which prompted Artist Carol Kolf to make a special quilt for this year's show that ironically enough, was stolen as well.

Jaycees to Hold Candidate Forum Thursday Night

The Sheridan Jaycees will host a candidate forum Thursday night at the Sheridan Holiday Inn.

The Sheridan Jaycees are sponsoring a candidate forum at the Sheridan Holiday Inn Thursday night. Jaycees Board Chairman Jarod Martin explains which candidates will be on hand for the forum.

District 2 Honors AP Program

At Monday night's October District 2 Board of Trustees meeting, a reception and time of honoring was held to celebrate the efforts of the teachers and students in the Sheridan High School Advanced Placement, or AP, Program.

Preliminary PAWS Results Are In

At the October District 2 Board of Trustees meeting, Tom Sachse, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Assessment announced that limited and very preliminary PAWS results have come out. He says that from what he's seen so far, things look good for Sheridan 2.



GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals have four returners from last year's region nine runner up Head coach Steve Smiley has also welcomed in a talented freshmen class that are sure to entertain fans this season.

The Generals will be in Spearfish, South Dakota Sunday for scrimmages against Black Hills state, the South Dakota school of mines and Dickinson state from North Dakota.
