City Planning Commission Says No to Hi-Tech Building

The City of Sheridan Planning Commission voted 2-3 in opposition of a proposed light manufacturing building that would be located at the City's Hi-Tech Park in north Sheridan. Planning Commissioner Nancy Silla was one of the three members that voted against the building design; she explains some of the reasons for doing so.

Mule Deer Near Gillette Tests Positive for CWD

A mule deer harvested on October 2, near Gillette from hunt area 18 has tested positive for chronic wasting disease, which is a brain disease that has been known to affect some deer, elk and moose. Game and Fish Information Specialist Warren Mischke says that the G&F has been conducting surveys since the rifle hunting season began.

Volunteers with Bethesda Worship Center painted the stalls at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds Sunday.

Sunday, 130 volunteers from Bethesda Worship Center in Sheridan put feet to their faith as they went outside of the walls of the church to serve the community. Volunteer Greg Hagerott says that it was about giving back to the community.

UW club hockey will play in Gillette Friday / Saturday (Two former Sheridan Hawks are on the Wyoming roster)

The University of Wyoming Cowboys hockey team will open their season in Gillette Friday at 7 pm and will play a second game on Saturday at 5 pm.

The Gillette Hockey Association will present two University of Wyoming games against the Montana State University Hell Cats at the Wyoming Center’s Spirit Hall Ice Arena. Among the players are Sheridan’s Craig Luplow and Mitch Nelson. This is Craig’s third year of varsity play and Mitch’s second; Mitch was the team’s leading scorer last season.

Tickets are $10 and will be sold at the Spirit Hall Ice Arena at the Cam-plex.
