CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Department of Employment says occupational fatalities decreased 31% from 2007 to 2008. It's the largest single-year drop since the department began keeping records in 1993.

United Blood Services Conducting Sheridan Blood Drive

The old Highland Park School on Avon Street in Sheridan is the location where you can go to donate blood today and tomorrow.

Donors need to be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Donors who are 16, and in some states 17, must have signed permission from a parent or guardian.

City Council Approves Grant Application For Forward Sheridan

Forward Sheridan asked the Sheridan City Council to sponsor a grant to the Wyoming Business Council for a new facility to help start-up businesses. The proposed 9,000-square-foot building would house the Forward Sheridan offices, but the rest of the space could be used to provide a temporary location for new businesses.

Joey’s Kids Finish Cut Slam Adventure

Four kids, four days, nearly 1,000 miles, and six different rivers… That’s what was involved in Joey’s Fly Fishing Foundation’s Cut Slam Adventure last week. Joey and the kids started on LeBarge Creek in southwest Wyoming last Thursday in search of the Colorado Cutthroat. All four of them caught their fish there.
