State Championship At War Memorial Stadium

This year the High School Football State Championships were played at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie. They had the cannons going off every time a team scored, a great medical team on hand and the big lights shining down on a university field. In short, players were able to get a feel of what it may be like to play football in college.

Snowmobiles Restricted In MT Wilderness Area

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - A National Forest official says the agency is imposing new restrictions on snowmobiles in a wilderness area south of Bozeman in response to a recent ruling from a federal judge.

Gallatin Forest Supervisor Mary Erickson says snowmobile use in the Hyalite-Porcupine-Buffalo Horn Wilderness Study Area will be limited to just two areas.

3 Republicans Look Into 2010 Wyo. Governor Race

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Three Republicans are looking into running for governor in 2010.

Former Wyoming U.S. Attorney Matt Mead of Cheyenne, former State Representative Ron Micheli of Fort Bridger, and State House Speaker Colin Simpson of Cody have all formed exploratory committees. No Democrats have formed exploratory committees.

Library Auction Draws Hundreds For Celebration

The annual Friends of the Library Auction was once again a big success. Hundreds of people gathered at the library, and many took the time to place bids in both the silent and live auctions. The event is the main fundraiser for the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library each year. What did those attending think of the event?
