Big Horn Lady Rams Cruise 3 to 0 over Moorcroft

On Thursday evening the Big Horn Lady Rams made it look easy as they downed the Moorcroft Lady Wolves in three sets: 25-5, 25-9, & 25-12. Here you see Lady Ram Senior Gracie Goldhammer going up to "hammer" the ball between defenders #15 Kimberly VerBurg and #8 Kristen Noyes to put her team up 11 to 3 in game two.

Ag Expo

The Sheridan Cattlewomen held an Ag Expo earlier this week at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds. FFA members fro Sheridan, Clearmont, and Tongue River were on hand to lend a hand at the annual expo.

Recovering the Wagon

The folks from Sheridan Tent and Awning were busy recovering a wagon in Big Horn Thursday afternoon. Jason Bare was working on the outside as the crew recovered the wagon above the Big Horn Smokehouse & Saloon at 158 Johnson Street in Big Horn - the new covering depicts the new name of the business.

If you get a chance while driving north on Big Horn Avenue a glance to your left will reveal a profusion of Black-Eyed Susans just begging to be looked at. If you can't see them in person you'll have to settle on this photo taken on a beautiful Tuesday morning. The Ojibwe, native Americans, used the roots of the plant as a poultice for snake bites and for treating colds.

Little Guys - Big Time Football Field

The Sheridan Recreation District Little Guy Football Teams provided half-time entertainment on Homer Scott Field Friday evening. The field was filled with 5th & 6th grade football players playing simultaneous games at the half-time break of the Sheridan Broncs and Evanston Red Devils High School football game.

#2 East Too Much for Lady Broncs

In high school volleyball action Saturday afternoon the Sheridan Lady Broncs took on the #2 ranked Cheyenne East Lady Thunderbirds at home. Here East's Leah Cheney hammers one across the net but a pair of Lady Broncs: #30 Baylee Baker and Taylor Townsend go up and Baylee gets the block while #1 Brynne Gardner is alert and ready if needed on the play.

Broncs Take Field & Take Down Evanston

Senior Hayden Legerski, carrying the Bronc Banner, leads his team onto the field. On the field it was all business as the #3 ranked Sheridan Broncs downed the Evanston Red Devils 41 to 9. The Broncs hit the road to Rock Springs next week for a 6:00 pm game Friday before returning home to take on the Campbell County Camels. A Grand Commitment

The Griffith Foundation has committed $2.5 million to go toward the renovation and expansion of the Thorne-Rider Student Center at Sheridan College. Sheridan College President Dr. Paul Young.

SHS Tennis Seniors Recognized

On the last home tennis matches of the season Tuesday the Sheridan Seniors were recognized. Seniors Brad Peterson, Cameron Ellis, Malick Grant, Rachael Wood, Hailey Ligocki, Megan Eisenhauer, Denim Lind, and Laramie Westcott were recognized for their contributions to the team prior to taking to the courts for their last home stand.

Gilead Wildfire Eats Another 240 Acres

The Gilead Wildfire, burning near Buffalo and Story, grew 240 acres over the last two days, and officials with the National Incident Response Team estimate the fire's total size to be 6,000 acres.

Dedicating the Life House

Volunteers of America Northern Rockies held a dedication ceremony Tuesday dedicating the Life House on the their campus in south Sheridan. The Life House is a men's treatment center for those struggling with substance abuse addiction.
