Officials Discuss Flood Insurance Rate Maps

Representatives with Sheridan County, the City of Sheridan and FEMA were on hand for a public meeting Tuesday to discuss the soon to be adopted flood insurance rate maps. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter as there and has the story.

“Old Man G Performance” Owners, Jamey and Lisa Gilkey present Sheridan Media’s Bob Grammens with $850.00 toward the Sheridan Media Christmas Wish Program. Old Man G and Sheridan Media co-sponsored the 1st annual Christmas Wish Motorcycle Poker Run. Over 70 Motorcycles participated in the Poker Run.

Eagles Shutout Moorcroft for First Win of the Season

The Tongue River Eagles football team hosted the Moorcroft Wolves Friday at Tongue River High School. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has this report.

Monarch Once Reigned in Local Coal Industry

In 1908, around one thousand people lived in the Sheridan County town of Monarch. Four hundred and fifty men worked in the nearby Monarch Mine, collecting a total payroll of $30,000 every month. That was in 1908.

Season Opener for Civic Theater Guild

The Sheridan Civic Theater Guild opened their season Friday night with the play “God of Carnage”. Director Matt Davis says that the small cast fits the mold of the Carriage House Theater where the production takes place.

This was the view from the Big Horn Campus Friday afternoon when the cloud cover started to lift beyond the campus bell tower and flags to reveal the first snow fall of the season.

Broncs Still Perfect at 5 & 0

With just seconds to go in the first half Bronc Senior Nick Gill pounds his way through a quartet of Tigers to just get into the corner of the end zone to put his Broncs up 18 to 0. Nick also kicked the extra point to make it Sheridan 19 - Rock Springs 0. Both teams were scoreless in the second half as Sheridan now stands at 5 & 0 while Rock Springs sinks to 0 & 5.

The Rams Pour it on Wright in the Rain

Early in the 2nd quarter Big Horn Ram Colter Carzoli took the hand off from QB Connor McCaferty at the six and punched it in for the score as he made a final cut to his left into a hole at the goal line thanks to the block by fellow Ram Mason Lube #58. Colter's TD ran the score to 20 to 7.

It was a rainy night in Sheridan Thursday following, and during for that matter, the Sheridan High School Homecoming Pep Rally that took place on Grinnell Plaza.

Rain couldn't dampen this Homecoming Pep Rally

Rain couldn't dampen the Sheridan High School Homecoming Pep Rally spirit on Grinnell Plaza Thursday evening. After recognizing the athletics of the fall sports teams it was time to burn the "Bronc" and that they did right in the middle of Grinnell Plaza. After that some dancing broke out in front of the stage as the students continued in the spirit of homecoming.

Covering the Courts

The four tennis courts along with the warm-up and pickle ball areas at Thorne-Rider Park have recently been resurfaced.

9th Grade Football

Another close one beating Cheyenne East, Derek Vela blocked the field goal attempt by East in the last seconds to help Sheridan beat East 22-21, good job.

They play this Thursday at home against Gillette, come cheer them on!!!! Enjoy the pictures!!
