Did you know that Sheridan has a Bridal Veil Falls? You don't have to go to Telluride, Colorado to see Sheridan's version instead you can go to the Sugarland Boardwalk and behold right in front of Roosters Cafe & Marketplace if you use a little imagination you can see the tumbling Bridal Veil (spirea plant) as it cascades over the retaining wall.

Police Award Three Scholarships

The recipients of the Sheridan Police Protection Association Kaleigh Rose Ford Memorial Scholarships were, from left to right: Gabe Dahmke, Maria Owen and Don Nielsen Jr. The scholarships were presented on May 21, 2012 by PPA member Officer Dan White at an award ceremony held at Sheridan High School. Each scholarship was in the amount of $500.00.

From this Monday afternoon photo it appears that Phase I of the Wyoming/Park Area is nearly complete and looks great. A kickoff workshop was held in March of 2010 and here we are just over two years later. What a change.

Crow School Fire

A fire Sunday afternoon on the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana destroyed three trailers owned by the school district. The trailers were located just east of the elementary building.

During the recently concluded Wyoming State High School Track and Field Championships in Casper, Sheridan's Aspen Frey and Big Horn's Matthew Wigglesworth came out on top.

It was a bright and sunny day Saturday for the annual Trees for Trash event in Sheridan.

One Goal not enough for the Lady Bison

The Buffalo Lady Bison got the first goal in their game against the Cody Fillies in the Championship game on Saturday. Buffalo's Teara Gass kicks the ball over the head of Cody's goalie Laurel Place where Lady Bison's Caley Stafford and Rileigh Olson meet up with the ball that Rileigh kicks in with her left foot. Soccer - a game of inches on a huge field?

The Lady Broncs already knew that a soccer field is huge - today they found out a win on that huge field can come from just a few inches. Somewhere in this play near the goal a hand touches the ball setting up a penalty kick.

Sheridan Leaps KW - but loses shootout

Midway through a scoreless second half Sheridan's Jake Moore takes a high speed pass from Hunter Reece, breaks loose and heads directly toward the goal. As KW's goalie Connor Diller starts to pull in the ball Jake's speed limits his options too; running into the goalie or leaping over him. Jake went for the leap that he cleanly made as shown here. At the end of regulation it was still scoreless.
