Behind the Scenes Well Received

The Sheridan County Museum held their final “Behind the Scenes Saturday” over the weekend. The program that started in January was aimed at giving the public an up close and personal look at what goes on at the Museum on a day-to-day basis.

Benefiting the Hospital

The 11th annual Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation benefit began with food and drink mixed with plenty of good conversation, as a pre-event reception was held at King's Saddlery in downtown Sheridan.

In personal bests Big Horn's Matthew "Wiggs" Wigglesworth and Sheridan's Gabby Edeen captured first place varsity finishes in the Dan Hansen Track Meet held on an ever weather changing Saturday at Homer Scott Stadium in Sheridan.

Broncs Stampede the Plainsmen

Off of Lucas Wollenman's third assist of the night teammate Patrick McClurg takes aim and kicks the 5th goal of the evening for the Sheridan Broncs as they stomped all over the Laramie Plainsmen in the second half with five straight goals in the span of 26 minutes. Laramie scored two first half goals in Friday's outing but then it was all Broncs as they downed the number 2 Laramie Plainsmen.

CDC Honored at Light of Hope Breakfast

The Child Development Center was honored as the Champion for Children at the annual CASA Light of Hope breakfast Friday. Along with recognizing a Champion for Children, the event is held to honor CASA volunteers who've given their time to help make a child's life a little better.

Fighters participating in the latest round of Friday Night Fights in Sheridan weighed-in Thursday night at the Black Tooth Brewing Company. The fights will take place this Friday night at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall.

Wit at the Carriage House

The Civic Theater Guild production of Wit follows the final hours of Dr. Vivian Bearing, who's dying of ovarian cancer. The play will run on weekends at the Carriage House Theater through the end of the month. A percentage of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Welch Cancer Center.

Todd Cornell-20 Years In China

Sheridan College in Johnson County presented Todd Cornell discussing his more than 20 years living in China Wednesday evening at the Buffalo Theater.

Cornell gave an audio/visual program and spoke about his experiences living and learning in a culture completely different than the one he grew up in here in the U.S.

SC Recognizes Outstanding Service-Learning Project and Community Partner

The Sheridan College award for Outstanding Service-Learning Project was recently presented to Josh Michelena, Construction Technology Instructor, and his students for their work on constructing homes for Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns.
