Goldhammer Scholarship Fundraiser is Underway

Sunday afternoon and evening was a special time in Big Horn. The recently opened Big Horn Smokehouse and Saloon was the location for the 4th Annual Lane Goldhammer Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser.

Leasable Lot with a Lot to View

Sunday's sunset as seen from the Sugarland Shopping Center's parking lot was a view to behold. Just think this view is from leasable retail property. A description of this 80,000 square foot of leasable area reads: "Future Spaces in a shopping center anchored by Albertsons. (Wal-Mart and Walgreens across the street.) 28,480 cars pass by a day making these highly visible spaces great locations.

The Wright Connection for the Win

This set by Dylan Wright to her Senior Sister Mali Wright and the resultant hit for point #25 in game three Saturday garnered the Lady Broncs a 3-game sweep of the Lady Bisons from Cheyenne. It was the Lady Broncs final home meeting and Senior Day to boot as they swept the 3-games with wins of 25-7, 25-9 and 25-13.

Mackenzie Dougherty wins 100 Meter Butterfly

Freshman Mackenzie Dougherty won the 100 Meter Butterfly Friday afternoon with a state qualifying time of 1:15.23 beating out Riverton's Jordan Settlemire by .10-seconds for first place.

Buffalo Homecoming 2012

Buffalo's Homecoming Week wrapped up Friday with the crowning of royalty, the Homecoming football game and then the dance.

Buffalo's Homecoming Royalty are: Aaron Fenner and Erin Esponda, Tyler Bauer and Kinzi Litzel, and King Isaac Keifer and Queen Kadelyn Burd.

King Casey Carlton and Queen Hailey Ligocki

When they were crowned at the Sheridan High School Homecoming assembly Friday morning little did King Casey Carlton and Queen Hailey Ligocki know they would make their Friday evening grand entrance before the brave Sheridan fans in the first major snowfall of the season.

Welcome to the Snow Bowl

The Sheridan Broncs take the field 5-minutes before kickoff at home against Laramie Friday evening in what could be called the "Snow Bowl." It took but 14-seconds for the Broncs to get on the board as Junior Daniel Sessions scored the first of his 6 TD's on the evening.

Flaming Bronc - Ready for Action

At 7:39 pm Thursday evening a tradition was started as the Flaming Bronc was first ignited during Homecoming Festivities held on Grinnell Plaza. Activities Director and Bronc Head Football Coach Don Julian said he hopes this event on Grinnell Plaza is but the first of many.

Tennis Champs

Sheridan's four, 4A State Tennis Champions enjoy Homecoming festivities on Grinnell Plaza on Thursday evening. These four Sheridan High School tennis players won state championships this past weekend in Gillette. They are: No. 1 girls singles champ Julia Fenn, No. 1 boys singles champ Reed Ritterbusch, No. 1 girls doubles champ Hailey Ligocki and her partner No. 1 girls doubles champ Rachel Wood.

Stylist Recognizes Breast Cancer Month

There are pink ribbons all over town as Sheridan observes Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but one local business owner is going one step further to show her respect for women who have fought or are fighting the disease.

"Pink Bronc Day" Raises Record Cancer Funds

Students from Sheridan High School present the Sheridan Memorial Hospital board of trustees with their earnings from their "Pink Bronc Day" T-shirt sales. The students sold a record 700 shirts this year, netting a record $3846.50 for their annual breast cancer fundraiser. The students collected an additional $300 in cash donations for the hospital. Sheridan College Receives $100K Gift From Alum

Sheridan College received a $100,000 gift from alum Torrey Moody and his wife Karen Moody that will go toward the Large Animal Science Facility in north Sheridan. Sheridan College President Dr. Paul Young.

Sheridanites Bid a Stylish Farewell to the Inn

The residents at Emeritus at Sugarland Ridge often enjoy going out to lunch on Fridays to one of the local restaurants. On Friday, September 28th, they decided to bid farewell to the Historic Sheridan Inn and loaded up the bus and went to 1893 Grille and Spirits.
