Kim purchased AM 930 KROE in 1974, and since then it has been a steadily expanding business as part of Lovcom, Inc. Under Kim's management, KROE moved from a 1000 watt dawn to dusk station operating out of a mobile home on "dump road" to a 5000 watt 24 hour station in a 3000+ square foot building on "KROE Lane." Kim also gave Sheridan its first 24 hour stereo FM station (KROE 94.9FM) in 1977. In the mid 90's KROE acquired KWYO's oldies FM station, which was given new a new life as country station KYTI, while KROE FM became KZWY (Z94FM). Another building expansion and completely new studios were added in 2001/2002. Today, the company now known as Sheridan Media provides Seven 24-hour radio stations along with the website sheridanmedia.com, and The Country Bounty, a weekly Print Publication in a continuing effort to be Sheridan's leading source for local information.
