Spring track opens / Soccer debuts Friday / Golf,Tennis and Baseball open Monday

BRONC / LADY BRONC TRACK AND FIELD - The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams opened the springs sports season this past weekend, the Lady Broncs were 4th the Broncs were 7th at the Casper invitational.

Head coach Art Baures says they were a little short handed with spring break beginning but the numbers for the spring season are nearing 90 athletes.

And he says the Casper invite was a good event to start the season.

UW / NCAA BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys basketball season ended with a loss to Northern Iowa in the NCAA tournament.

The Pokes got within nine points with seven minutes remaining, but the Panthers (31-3) closed the game on a 14-6 run to earn a 71-54 win over the Cowboys (25-10) in the second round on Friday in Seattle.

Pokes open March Madness / Spring track starts Saturday / Bronc post season hoop honors

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys open the NCAA basketball tournament this morning in Seattle.

They will play Northern Iowa we will have all the action live for you on KWYO and 87.7 FM, pregame will start at 11:00 with the tip at 11:40.

Sheridan Troopers open Spring training March 30th / Outdoor track opens Saturday / SHS Soccer season a week away / Pokes open March Madness Friday morning

TROOPER BASEBALL - Sheridan American legion baseball held their annual player / parent meeting last night the first preseason practice will be Monday, March 30th.

Troopers Head coach Ben Phillips it's nice to be looking ahead to starting a new season.

This will be the second year the players can enjoy an indoor facility to workout and Phillips says that has taken care of poor spring weather and losing practice time.

Sheridan College volleyball is pleased to announce the addition of Sulieti Hifo a 5’8 Outside Hitter from Maui, HI to the 2015 roster. Hifo is the second player from Hawaii to ink an LOI for the 2015 class as she will join the SC program that will look to build off this year’s 20-13 record.

“Suli is a tremendous player in all regards. She has a heavy swing, great ball handling skills and plays with a calm, quiet, confident demeanor,” said head coach Jennifer Stadler. Suli comes from not only an elite high school and club program which will help in her early success on our team.”
