Hunter Education Program
Do you or your kids need to complete the WG&F Hunter Education Program? This is a great opportunity to take a fun challenging, outdoor educational course.
Under the provision of Section 23-2-106 of Wyoming State Statues (a) Except as provided in sub section (c) of this section, no person born on or after January 1, 1966 may take wildlife by the use if firearm on land other than that of his own family, unless the person possesses or can demonstrate they have obtained a certificate of competency and safety in the use of handling of firearms as provided by subsection (b) of this section.

The Hunter safety course shall consist of twelve hours of instruction and a day on the range. Final test will be held on range day.
To register for the course you can either go online at the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, or you can register at the Sheridan Recreation District Office located in Thorne-Rider Park.
Ages: Recommend 10 years and up, under 10 must be accompanied by a legal guardian
Dates: Session 1 March 11- 16th, 2013
Range Day Saturday, March 16th, 2013 (9:00 am completed
Time: 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm M-TU-TH-FRI (Saturday at the range 9:00 am)
Student Fee: $10.00 * If you cannot afford to pay, the fee will be waived
Location: Family Life Center, 118th West 5th Street
Class Limit: 35 students
