WYO RODEO WEEK / TROOPERS IMPROVE TO 35-8

SHERIDAN WYO RODEO - The 2012 Sheridan WYO Rodeo week kicked off Saturday at the boot kickoff at Sheridan college.

The first rodeo action starts at 9:00 Wednesday morning with steer roping slack and the first performance starts Wednesday night at 7:00.

WYO rodeo board member Nick Siddle says fans will see all the top PRCA competitors in action all week long.

Siddle says after all these year's the WYO rodeo has become a destination not only for the best in the PRCA but for rodeo fans as well.

The Boot Kickoff got the week started Saturday and there is some kind of activity for all to enjoy this week.

Sheridan Media will be making our annual broadcast Friday morning starting at 6:00 at the Kiwanis pancake breakfast and finishing up with the WYO Rodeo parade at 10:00.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are 35-8 as they swept a road double header in Cody Sunday they blasted the Cubs 16-2 and 17-5.

The Troops are off today the have a conference game tomorrow night in Casper before coming home Wednesday to host two with Spearfish, South Dakota.

Our next live broadcast of Trooper baseball will be that spearfish double header Wednesday night we will broadcast the first game live for you, the first pitch will be tossed out at 5:00 live on 14-10 KWYO.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies beat Washington 4-3 Sunday to end the first half of the MLB season.

The MLB All-Star Home Run Derby is tonight the All-Star game is tomorrow night in Kansas City.

Rockies left fielder Carlos Gonzales is the only Colorado player on the NL roster this year.
