BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Lady Broncs finished their basketball season with a victory Saturday in the consolation final at the state tournament.
They blew out Cheyenne East 48-26 Junior Hailey Ligocki ended the season nearly out scoring East herself leading the Lady Broncs with a game high 23 points.
The Broncs had a roller coaster week in Casper starting with a one point win over Kelly Walsh then a one point loss against Evanston in the semi finals Friday night.
They had to play Cheyenne Central in the 3rd place game Saturday and it was tough on the players as they fought back in the game late only to lose by two 48-46.
Bronc Senior Riley Ryan says it was tough to be ready for that game.
Ryan was a four year starter for the Broncs and says it was a great season and the last four years have been great for Bronc athletics.
SHERIDAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams were both eliminated form their regional nine tournaments Sunday.
At the men's region nine tournament in Scottsbluff, Nebraska the Generals lost to Otero community college while in Casper the Lady Generals were knocked out by Central Wyoming.
COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys will play more basketball this week as the college basketball invitational or "CBI" tournament will play play at sites around the country.
Last night the Cowboys found out they will host a game against North Dakota state Wednesday night.
We will broadcast the game live on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM the broadcast will start at 6:30 with the tip at 7:00.
BASEBALL - Sheridan American Legion baseball will hold their preseason player / parent meeting Wednesday, March 21st at 6:00 at Sheridan high school.
All Sheridan jets and trooper players and their parents are asked to attend.
SOCCER - The Spring sports season opens play this week with the Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams playing matches with Riverton Friday evening.
The Lady Broncs will host the broncs will play at Riverton, Saturday both teams will participate in a jamboree in Cody.
TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams will open their outdoor season Saturday at the annual Natrona county "Earlybird" invitational.
