BIG HORN POLO - In Big Horn polo action from Sunday they played two matches the Chris Ledoux Foundation Cup and the Sheridan Motor Cup.

The Ledoux Foundation winning team was the “Canyon Ranch” and the Sheridan motor cup winning team was the pony bar and grill.

This week they will play matches Sunday as part of the Wyo Rodeo tailgate party at the Equestrian center that will be Sunday afternoon.

They'll play Eaton's cup at 1:00 and Wyo Rodeo Cup at 3:00.

WYO RODEO - A record number of contestants have entered this year's 80th Wyo rodeo which will feature four night's of top PRCA action beginning Wednesday night at 7:00.

There will be slack timed event performances in the morning starting at 7:00 am. They begin tomorrow with a full session of Steer roping.

NHSFR - The national high school finals rodeo begins next week in Gillette. Five Sheridan county competitors are set to participate. The national finals opens at the Cam-plex Sunday.

Nikki Baumann from Sheridan will compete in Goat tying, Taylor Kelly in Saddle Broncs, Casey Collins in Steer Wrestling and Cory Price is an alternate in Bull Biding

SHS TENNIS - Sheridan high school tennis has a new Head coach as Bob Faurot takes over the head coaching duties for the coming the season.

Faurot has been involved with the Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis program for many years as an assistant coach and now takes over to lead the program into the up coming season and doesn't anticipate any big changes for the players.

And Faurot says playing in the summer was a big issue for him in keeping the players sharp. And they've had a lot of opportunities to play in June and July.

He says his coaching style won't be something new to the players either and they expect to have a quality season.

The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams open their season the third week in August in Jackson.

BRONC FOOTBALL CAMP - The Sheridan bronc football team will host their summer youth football camp this week. The 4th annual youth camp will run today – Wednesday with players 8th grade and younger going from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at Homer Scott stadium.

The camp costs 10 dollars per camper for 8th grade and younger players and each camper gets a camp t-shirt. They will take registration at the field this evening before the camp opens at 5:00.

SHERIDAN COUNTY YOUTH GOLF - The Sheridan county youth golf series will host the first junior golf tournament of the summer July 19th a the Sheridan country club. The junior golf series is open to all boys and girls ages 8-17 the fee is10 dollars per golfer, registration forms are located at all three Sheridan courses.

The rest of the junior golf series dates will be July 26th at Kendrick golf course which will be a Wyoming parks and recreation junior golf day. The final event will be at the Powder Horn Monday August 2nd.
