BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams swept four games from Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne East the Broncs dominated both teams in Cheyenne to run their conference record to 4-0 and 14-2 overall.

The Lady Broncs were tough at home against both teams picking up two solid wins to go to 3-1 in conference play and 13-3 overall.

Their only conference loss was at Laramie two weeks ago where they saw Laramie slow the game down playing a lot of zone defense both Central and East tried the same thing but the Lady Broncs handled it much better in both games.

It's Gillette week as the first round of conference play concludes this week the Broncs play at Gillette Thursday night and the Lady Broncs at home against the Camels Friday night both varsity games tip at 7:30 and both will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM.

BIG HORN BASKETBALL - The Big Horn basketball teams split games with Riverside Friday with the Lady Rams winning their game 39-19 they lost against Rocky Mountain Saturday 48-43.

The Rams lost against Riverside 63-56 and came back and beat Rocky Mountain Saturday 56-54.

TR BASKETBALL - The TR Eagles and Lady Eagles opened the weekend with victories over Wright.

On Saturday the Lady Eagles made it a clean sweep beating Greybull while the Eagles completed a perfect weekend beating Greybull 72-64.

NSI HOOPS - The NSI Wolves beat Kaycee in overtime and lost at Midwest Saturday 58-30.

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams hosted games with Gillette Saturday night both teams picking up victories with big second halves.

The Lady Generals went on a 20-4 run to start the second half to pull away from Gillette Head coach Frank McCarthy. And he said it was a good win after a tough loss at Casper three nights earlier.

The Generals led Gillette by six at halftime and pulled away in the second half to post their 15 win of the season freshmen RJ Leverette and Sophomore Rob Heyer were spectacular in the victory.

Leverette had 23 points including 7 for 7 behind the the three point line and Heyer had the hot hand as well hitting for a game high 27 points and the two combine for 50 of the Generals 75 points after the win Head coach Steve Smiley.

Both teams play Wednesday night at Little Big Horn community college and will have games with Northwest college Saturday.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers had a great weekend winning conference duals against Cheyenne South, Cheyenne Central and Laramie they dropped a one point dual loss against Cheyenne East.

This weekend the Broncs will get a great test as the annual "Ron Thon" invitational takes place in Riverton.

COWBOYS / COWGIRLS BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys went to Boise state Saturday and beat the Broncos 75-64 the Cowgirls hosted Boise state and blew them out 84-64 former Lady Bronc Kayla Woodward had 14 points.

This week the Pokes play at TCU Wednesday night then Saturday afternoon at home against UNLV both games will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM.

The Cowgirls will play opposite of the men at home Wednesday night against TCU and at UNLV Saturday.
