TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams competed at invitational in Billings Friday the Lady Broncs were 6th overall the Broncs placed 12th.

Maddy McClure took the 400 meters and Shayla Christensen won the shot put the top Bronc finisher was Aaron Campbell with a 2nd place finish in the 110 meter hurdles.

The "Gary Benson" invitational will be tomorrow Sheridan Head coach Art Bauers says this meet will be the best competition of the spring for most of the athletes.

And he says the meet will be very spectator friendly. Events get underway tomorrow at 1:00 pm and are expected to run into the early evening.

Sheridan high school will host the much bigger the "Dan Hansen" invitational Saturday with events starting at 10:00.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams resume their conference schedule this week with matches against Laramie and Cheyenne south.

The broncs will be on the road and the South match Saturday with the Lady Broncs will be played at Big Horn high school with the Dan Hansen invitational track meet taking place at Homer Scott stadium.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers open their baseball season with two road double headers Saturday May 5th in Cody and the 6th in Billings against the Halos.

The Troops home opener is May 11th when they play two with the Billings Royals.

COWBOY JOE - The Wyoming Cowboy Joe club will host the spring membership kickoff event in Sheridan on April 30th at the Sheridan Holiday Inn beginning at 5:30.

Scheduled speakers are football coach Craig Bohl, basketball coaches Larry Shyatt and Joe Legerski along with wrestling coach Mark Branch and Athletic Director Tom Burman.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost 10-9 against Philadelphia Sunday, tonight they open a home series with San Francisco first pitch is at 6:40 live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.
