WEEKEND LOCAL SPORTS WRAP UP

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams swept games from Green River and Billings Skyview on he opening weekend of the season.

Lady Bronc Head coach Jessica Pickett says they had a great weekend.

And Pickett says no rest for the Lady Broncs as they get right back to work today.

The Broncs blasted Green River Friday and went up to Billings Saturday and picked a nice road win at Skyview high school.

The Bronc defense was outstanding Head coach Gale Smith.

And Smith says they players spread the scoring around a really shared the ball.

Friday the Lady Broncs play at Natrona county the Broncs host the Mustangs and Saturday they host a double header with Riverton.

BH BASKETBALL - The Big Born basketball teams played at a tournament in Lusk.

The Rams went 1-2 the Lady Rams 0-3 this week the boys play at a tournament in Wright the girls at a tournament in Glenrock.

TR BASKETBALL - The Tongue River basketball teams played in Thermopolis. The Lady Eagles went 3-0 the Eagles 1-2 this week they host games with Rocky Mountain Friday and play at Lovell Saturday.

BRONC WRESTLING - The bronc wrestlers finished 2nd at the Powell invitational. They had two champions Tucker Goss and Hayden Hastings.

2nd place Braxton Cooper, Tim Cowan, Cody Delk and Tory Music and 5th place finishers Cody Welborn and Dane Champers.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls played at a tournament at the Air Force Academy and swept games Southern Illinois tonight and North Dakota state

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys beat South Dakota 67-66 at the buzzer Saturday.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming football program has a new Head coach as Craig Bohl was officially announced as the Pokes next head coach Sunday night in Laramie.

Bohl the former North Dakota state Head coach has won back to back national FCS titles and got the Bison to the number one seed in this year's playoffs as well.
