BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams split their conference openers with Gillette last Thursday both teams were off over the weekend.
The Broncs beat Gillette 1-0 the Lady Broncs lost 3-0 tomorrow they resume the schedule with games in Buffalo.
The schedule remains tough for the Lady Broncs as they play two really good teams this week starting with the match in Buffalo Head coach Tom Racette.
The Lady Broncs are 3-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
The Broncs are now 4-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play and Head coach Kevin Riser says varsity experience is starting to pay off for the Broncs.
As they get ready to play a good Buffalo team they are playing well.
The Sheridan and Buffalo JV soccer teams will play in Sheridan this evening and 4:00 and 6:00.
The varsity teams playing a doubleheader in Buffalo tomorrow the boys varsity match will go at 4:00 followed by the girls varsity game at 6:00.
SHS / BH / TR TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan, Tongue River and Big Horn track teams all participated in an invitational in Gillette Saturday no team scores were kept but several individuals from all three schools did very well.
In the girls competition Sheridan's Claire Korpela won the 200 meters and 300 hurdles. Bailie Dannels was 2nd at 200 meters. Katie Rotellini won the 800 meters and was 6th in the triple jump.
Lauren Buyan was 3rd in the 300 meter hurdles, Morgan Jacobs was 4th in the 300 hurdles, Brynne Gardner was 3rd in the long jump and McKenzie Butcher was 5th in the discus and 2nd in the shot put and Shayla Christen was 6th in the shot put.
For the Tongue River Lady Eagles Sarah Maze was 4th at 400 meters and 5th at 200 meters and Brittany Popp finished 5th in the 100 meter hurdles for the Big Horn Lady Rams.
In the boys competition for the Broncs Kyle Dietsche won the 1600 meters, Seth Carrel placed in the 100, 200 and long jump. Brendon Byron was 200 in the 800 meters
Micheal Rotellini was 2nd in the 1600. Anthony Newlon was 2nd in the 400 and Paul Stadick was 4th in the 400 meters.
Aaron Campbell won the triple jump and was 5th in the 110 meter hurdles, Nathan Berg was 4th in the 300 meter hurdles, Taylor Kraft won the high jump, Dawson Osborn placed in both the discus and shot and the Broncs won the 4x400 meter relay.
Taylor Heaps finished 1st the boys 400 meters for the Tongue River Eagles, Cole Jolovich was 3rd in the 3200 meters, Alex Sami was 4th in both the discus and shot put and the Eagles won the 4x800 meter relay.
Matt Wigglesworth was 3rd in the long jump for the Big Horn Rams.
BRONC / LADY BRONC GOLF - The Sheridan Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers will open their spring tournament schedule weather permitting this week at an invitational tournament in Worland Saturday.
ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks were snowed out in Denver yesterday. The "D-Backs" beat the Rockies 7-6 on opening day, the "Rox" beat Arizona 3-1 Saturday.
The Rockies are off today and will open a short two game series at home with the Los Angeles Dodgers tomorrow then head out on the road for eight games away from Coors field.
