Buffalo High School athletes had a good weekend of competition, with the soccer teams coming home victorious and the track and field team having a good showing at the Wyoming Track Classic and Kelly Walsh Invite, both in Casper.
Both the boys' and girls' soccer teams traveled to Riverton on Saturday to “meet in the middle” so to speak, to play the Star Valley Braves.
The boys, ranked #2 this week, downed #5 Star Valley 3-0.
The girls, ranked #5, beat #4 Star Valley 3-0.
Next up for the teams is Worland on Tuesday, with the boys on the road and the girls hosting the Lady Warriors.
The Bison track and field team also had a good weekend.
Friday they were at the Wyoming Track Classic in Casper, and the top finishers were Matt Scarlett who won the boys' 1,600-meter run and Taylor Ballek who finished second in girls' pole vault.
Saturday the teams participated in the Kelly Walsh Invite, where Matt Scarlett won the boys' 3,200-meter run.
