Buffalo's high school athletes began their spring sports seasons with the soccer teams taking on Jackson and the track and field teams at the Natrona Earlybird Meet in Casper.
The Bison boys' soccer team fell to Jackson on Friday 2-1, while the girls were defeated 2-0.
Their next matches are this weekend against Powell Friday with the girls hosting and the boys on the road. Saturday the boys will host Cody while the girls travel to Cody.
The Bison track and field team was at the Natrona Earlybird and the top finisher for Buffalo was Taylor Ballek in pole vault where she cleared 9 feet, 08 inches to win the event.
Hannah Chapin finished second in the girls' 800-meter run and Isaac Kiefer finished third in the boys' 800-meter run.
The girls team finished ninth of 16 teams and the boys finished tenth of 16.
Next up for them is hosting the Jerry Campbell Invite this Friday at BHS.
