Buffalo High School athletes were back in action this weekend after some time off forced by some inclement weather.
The Bison boys and girls soccer teams were to travel to Douglas Thursday to make up previously postponed games with the Bearcats and Lady Bearcats, but weather has forced those games to be postponed once again. Those games will be played May 7th in Douglas.
Friday the teams were able to play their games with Rawlins and both the Bison and Lady Bison came away with blowout wins.
The Bison, #2 in Class 3A, shut out the Outlaws 4-0. Buffalo is now 5-2-1 overall and 1-0 in Conference play.
The Lady Bison defeated the Rawlins Lady Outlaws 11-0. Buffalo is 5-3 overall and1-0 in Conference play.
Next up for both teams is Star Valley at Riverton next weekend.
The Bison track and field team was in Sheridan Saturday for the Dan Hansen Invitational.
The top finisher for the Bison girls was Taylor Ballek who finished 4th in pole vault for the Lady Bison.
The top finisher for the boys was Taylor Hepp who took fourth in both the high and long jump for the Bison.
