The Bison cross country team had a good showing overall at the Worland Invite September 29th.
The girls' JV team took 2nd, with strong finishes from Courtney Dyess, 5th, Kathryn Eklund, 7th, and Audryanna Carder at 10th.
The JV boys finished fifth, the varsity boys sixth and the varsity girls eighth, with the top finishers for the girls Mikki Horton at 8th and for the boys, Isaac Kiefer at 15th.
Next up for the cross country team is the Buffalo Invite at 4pm Thursday.
The girls' volleyball team continues to struggle as they dropped their match with Rawlins 3-1 at home last Thursday. They will host a triangular with Worland and Torrington on Saturday.
The girls swimming team continues to compete well, taking fifth as a team at the Douglas Invite Saturday.
Top finishes came from the team of Misty Ballek, Sara Ott, Hannah Chapin and Gracie Meachum in the 200 medley relay and the 200 free relay.
Individually, Chapin took the 50 and 100 free; Meachum won the diving event; and Ballek took the 100 butterfly and the 100 breaststroke. Next up for the swimmers is the Gillette Invite Saturday.
Boys' varsity: Seth Hostetler, 21st; Matt Scarlett, 23rd; Ryan Majerus, 38th; Mark Reimann, 45th; Kevin Medders, 51st.
Girls' varsity: Teara Gass, 25th; Sammy Burton, 40th; Laura Kelly, 41st; Candace Carder, 43rd.
Boys' JV: Levi Bircher, 32nd; Blake Bell, 41st.
Ott finished fourth in the 200 free and sixth in the 400 free.
Courtney Mauck took 8th in the 200 free and ninth in the 100 breaststroke.
Alex Velasquez finished 14th in the 200 free and 12th in the 100 backstroke.
Joy Gilbert took 16th in the 50 free and 10th in the 100 breaststroke.
Bailey House finished 19th in the 50 free and 14th in the 100 free.
Jenna Elmlinger took fith in diving.
And the relay team of Gilbert, House, Mauck and Velasquez finished 10th in the 200 free and sixth in the 400 free.
