The Buffalo Bison will be moving one step closer to wrapping their winter sports seasons as they compete and ready themselves for their conference and state tournaments.
The Bison swim team will have one final tuneup before State as they head to Newcastle for a State-Qualifying meet. Buffalo will compete and keep themselves in practice, but have all of their team qualified for State, which will be in Gillette next week.
The Bison wrestlers will head to Regionals at Glenrock Friday and Saturday, and State will be at Gillette the following weekend.
The Lady Bison basketball team split their games last week and now are ranked #5 in the state, sitting in third place in 3A East, with a record of 14-5 overall, 8-4 in Conference. They have two important Conference games this weekend at Newcastle Friday and at home Saturday against Torrington.
The Bison boys' basketball team, ranked #2 in the state and sitting second in 3A East with a 16-3 overall record, 10-2 in conference, will also have two important conference games as they host Newcastle Friday and travel to top-ranked Torrington on Saturday. Saturday's game at Torrington could determine the top team in the 3A East should both teams win Friday. The regular season ends next weekend.
