LOCAL FOOTBALL - All four of our Sheridan County football teams will play out of town Friday, and we will broadcast two of those games live for you. The Sheridan Broncs play Gillette in the Energy Bowl over in the Razor City. Last fall, the Broncs ended a 12-year drought against the Camels, winning in Sheridan 49-28. We will have Friday's game for you on AM 1410 KWYO, starting the broadcast at 6:30 with the First Federal Pre-game Show.

The Big Horn Rams have won two straight, and they play at 3-0 Glenrock Friday night. You can hear that game live on our sister station 95.9 FM. The First Federal Pre-game Show will begin that broadcast at 5:45. And the Tongue River Eagles make the long trip to Burns Friday night, while the NSI Wolves head to Hulett.

The Wyoming Cowboys take a 1-2 record into their Mountain West Conference opener Saturday in Laramie against UNLV. The game will be broadcast on AM 1410 KWYO. The Cowboy pre-game starts at noon.

The Denver Broncos play at Oakland Sunday. The Broncos are 2-0; Oakland is 1-1. The game will be broadcast on AM 1410 KWYO. Pre-game begins at 1 o'clock.

UW FOOTBALL - We continue our series today with former Wyoming head football coach Joe Tiller. Following his retirement from coaching last season after twelve years at Purdue, he and his wife Arnett moved to their new home in Buffalo. Trevor Jackson enjoyed catching up with Tiller for the first time since his last season in Laramie in 1996. Tiller made major strides for the program at Purdue, with 10 bowl game appearances in those dozen years. SWIMMING - The Sheridan Lady Bronc swimmers will be at home Friday and Saturday with a dual against Cheyenne Central Friday. They host the Sheridan Invitational Saturday.

TR VOLLEYBALL - The Tongue River Lady Eagles' volleyball team will play on the road Friday, but they play at home Saturday at 3 o'clock. All other teams will be out of town.

TOURNAMENT VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan and Big Horn volleyball teams play in the Casper Invitational, and the Sheridan College Lady Generals play at the Wyoming/ Nebraska Shootout Tournament.

HS GOLF - The Sheridan, Tongue River and Big Horn golfers will play at their State Tournaments in Cheyenne and Hulett.

TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams will start post-season play at their Regionals in Powell Friday and Saturday.

CROSS-COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross-country runners will compete at the Rapid City Invitational Friday.

LOCAL GOLF - The Powder Horn will host the annual Octoberfest Golf Tournament Sunday, October 4th. The tournament format is 2-person teams playing all 27 holes with a different format on each nine. The cost is $70 per player, which includes lunch following play. Shotgun start will be at 9:30 am; to sign up your teams, call the Powder Horn Golf Shop at 672-5323.

WEEKEND BROADCAST SCHEDULE - We will have the Sheridan Broncs at Gillette on AM 1410 KWYO Friday night. The First Federal Pre-game Show starts the broadcast at 6:30.
