SHS WINTER SPORTS - The Sheridan Bronc football team is the last fall sports team with games to play. The high school winter sports season begins with the first practices for basketball and wrestling Monday, November 16th. Sheridan High School Activities Director Don Julian

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs host Casper Kelly Walsh Friday night in the 4-A Semi-Finals. The Broncs have run off nine straight wins to get to this point in the season. With a couple more games to play, Julian says the Broncs have provided a lot of excitement this fall.

We will broadcast the game on AM 1410 KWYO; the First Federal pregame Show starts the broadcast at 5:30. Kick-off is at 6:00. A.C.T. Communications will join us this week with another live video Webcast of the game. We will have a link to it at our website sheridanmedia.com.

FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS - The other 4-A Semi-Final has Gillette playing at Cheyenne Central. In the Class 3-A Semi-Finals, Buffalo plays at Cody, and Douglas will host Worland. The 2-A Semi-Finals will feature Glenrock at home with Greybull, and Kemmerer will host Thermopolis.

The 1-A Semi-Finals will have Wind River at Southeast in Yoder and Lingle travels to Cokeville. And in the 6-man Semi-Finals, Guernsey hosts Hanna-Elk Mountain. The other game has Kaycee at Midwest.

UW FOOTBALL - Saturday afternoon the Wyoming Cowboys play in Laramie against BYU -- you can hear the game on KWYO. Cowboy pre-game is at 11 o'clock, with kick-off at noon.

UW BASKETBALL - The basketball Cowboys open the exhibition season at home Saturday night against Regis University. You can hear the game following football at 5 o'clock, also on KWYO.

NFL - The Denver Broncos play Monday Night Football at Mile High next week. They host the defending Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers. Broadcast time Monday is at 5:3, with the Bronco pregame show and the kick at 6:30.

SHS CROSS COUNTRY - Sheridan Lady Bronc All -State cross-country and track runner, Lela Carpenter, signed a national Letter of Intent to run for Black Hills State University next year.

The Lady Bronc senior made it official yesterday, signing that letter at Sheridan High School. We asked Carpenter why she selected Black Hills State.

Two weeks ago she made All-State in cross-country, finishing 2nd in the State Cross-Country Meet. Last spring, she also earned All-State honors in the distance races at the State Track Meet. So what are her goals the rest of this season and into the spring?

The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross-country teams head to Boise, Idaho next week for a regional meet. Sheridan head coach Art Baures And based on the success of both teams this fall, they expect good results next week.

LADY GENERALS VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan College Lady Generals volleyball team opens post season play this afternoon at Central Wyoming Community College in Riverton. Their 1st-round opponent is the host team. The match is scheduled to get underway at 4 o'clock.

LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Lady Generals basketball team will host three teams in a tournament Friday and Saturday. The teams coming in include the College of Southern Idaho, North Idaho Community College and Western Wyoming. Games Friday will be at 5 and 7 pm and Saturday at 1 and 3 o'clock.

GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Generals are off this week; they will host a tournament next weekend. They will play games with an All-Star team Friday, and Otero Community College from La Junta, Colorado Saturday.

MLB- World Series Game 6 takes place tonight in the Bronx with the Yankees leading the Phillies 3-2. The first pitch will be tossed out at 6 o'clock.
