BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers dropped a dual at Billings West last night the Broncs won eight matches but lost by the score of 49-30.

Bronc winners included Hayden Richins at 105, Derek Derritoni won by decision at 112, Devan Reilly won by decision at 145 and the rest scored pins Clay Carter, Trevor Goss, Lucas Giesey and Gage Lacek.

The Broncs will compete this weekend at an invitational tournament in Worland.

BRONC SWIMMING / DIVING - The Sheridan Bronc swimmers got their season started last weekend with two meets in Casper and Gillette head coach Larry White was pleased with the start.

They also had five swimmers meet state championship qualifying standards in Gillette Saturday.

The Broncs have a dual at Cody Friday and the Riverton invitational Saturday.

BRONC AND LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams head to Green River and Rock Springs tomorrow for the annual “Flaming Gorge” classic tournament 32 boys and girls teams from Wyoming, Colorado, Utah and Idaho will compete in the three day event.

The Lady Broncs are 4-0 and will open with Rock Springs tomorrow night coach Derek Bissitt talks about the important points for the Lady Broncs this week and he says they have a good opener with Rock Springs.

They will also play Jackson and Kemmerer.

The Broncs are 3-1 and ranked 2nd this week in the 4-A state wide rankings.

They play Jackson, Rock Springs and Salmon, Idaho coach mike Ibach says they are looking forward to seeing more tough competition in this tournament and he says the big challenge for the Broncs this week is to buy into on getting better defensively.

They open with Jackson then Rock Springs Friday afternoon and Salmon, Idaho Saturday morning.

BH / TR BASKETBALL - The Big Horn and Tongue River basketball teams head over the mountain this weekend for a tournament hosted by Wyoming Indian and Wind rRver high schools.

UW BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys lost at Tennessee last night 77-58 the 8th ranked “Vols” broke open a tight game in the second half and cruised to the win the Cowboys just couldn't keep pace scoring only 17 points in the 2nd half.

Next up for the Pokes is a home game Sunday evening against University of South Dakota broadcast time will be at 5:00 pm on am 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM.

UW FOOTBALL - The football Cowboys play in their first Bowl game since 2004 Saturday in the New Mexico bowl against Fresno State we will broadcast the game live for you on am 14-10 KWYO the broadcast begins Saturday afternoon at 1:30 with kickoff at 2:30.

NFL - The Denver Broncos are still in the wild card hunt and will play at home Sunday afternoon against the Oakland Raiders the game can be heard live on am 14-10 KWYO broadcast time is 1:00 pm with kickoff at 2:00 pm.
