REC DISTRICT SERIES - We continue our series this week with the Sheridan Recreation District as they get ready to change seasons with a tennis tournament this weekend and a special senior citizens road trip later this month.
It's an August tradition with the Sheridan Rec District as they prepare to host the annual JD Mullinax Tennis Tournament. The tournament will be played at the Thorne-Rider Park tennis courts Saturday and Sunday. They will have Men's, Women's and Mixed divisions of play, and are taking registrations this week at the Rec Office in Thorne-Rider Park. Sports Specialist for the Rec District, Nick Dore.
Along with their usual fall line-up, the Rec District will be also be hosting a Senior Citizens road trip to the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody August 17th. Dore and Dale Boedecker will be hosting the event.

The Rec District also has fall Co-Rec Softball coming up, along with fall Adult Flag Football, Disc Golf and more.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Tongue River High School "Screaming" Eagles football camp continues tonight at the middle school in Ranchester. The camp is for all 1st through 8th grade players. If you didn't get a chance to be there last night, please arrive tonight by the 6 o'clock start.
The Sheridan Broncs open fall drills next Monday morning at the high school. All players must have sports physicals completed before they can step on the practice field.
Coach Don Julian tells us that there will ba a player/parent meeting this Sunday, August 8th at 4 pm in the SHS auditorium. Practice begins at 7 am Monday morning.
And Tongue River High School golf coach, Sandy Michelena, will be having a T.R. golf meeting next Wednesday, August 11th at 7 pm at TRHS for all student golfers and their parents. Please bring your physical reports. You can call Sandy for more information at (307) 752-0300.
