Tennis weather has arrived and University of Wyoming will be holding a tennis camp here in Sheridan June 2-6 at the SHS tennis courts. It is open to all boys and girls ages 7-18, no matter their skill level.
The purpose of the camp is to provide all attendees the opportunity to acquire, develop and improve their tennis skills with an emphasis on good technique, strategy, motivation and fun.
Also to provide on court coaching during match play to better understand how to construct points and how to play every point with a purpose.
Camp starts at 9:00 am and runs until 3:00 pm with an hour lunch break (be sure to bring your own lunch). Cost is $225 per camper. There is a discount for additional family members or those who attend other UW tennis camps this summer.
For those junior players who cannot attend during the day there will be abbreviated session in the evenings from 5:00 to 6:30 on June 2-5.
Cost is $20 per person per session. Advance registration is not required but helpful logistically, so at least try to notify Coach Faurot if you plan to attend.
For more information call or email Sheridan High School’s head tennis coach, Bob Faurot at 672-6323 or firstname.lastname@example.org
For adult players who want to improve their tennis game UW will be offering evening drill classes June 2-5 from 5:00 – 6:30 at the SHS tennis courts.
Attend one, attend any or attend all, $20 per person per session. This is an excellent opportunity for the adults to kick start their game for the summer.
The emphasis will be on stroke production and doubles strategy. These drill sessions have been lots of fun in the past.
