UW Golf has two former Broncs on the course in 2014

The Wyoming Cowboy golf team played the third round of the Wyoming Cowboy Desert Intercollegiate on Sunday, in Palm Desert, Calif., and finished in 19th place of the 23-team field after shooting a final round of 293 (+5). The Pokes finished with a three-round score of 889 (+25).

Sophomore Kamrin Allen led the Cowboy scoring and was the top finisher tying for 42nd place of the 127-man field. Allen completed the tournament with a final round 70 (-2) for a 54-hole total of 217 (+1). Allen’s final round was the best for the Cowboys on Sunday as well as his best of the tournament.

“It was a pretty tall order for us as the first tournament of the spring,” Wyoming head coach Joe Jensen said. “But today we had our best round of the tournament and our guys played very well.”

Behind Allen, was senior Eddie Stewart who shot a final round 71 (-1) to finish in a tie for 62nd place with a score of 221 (+5). Senior Brent Baylon carded a final round 79 (+7) to finish tied for 72nd place with a score of 223 (+7), as junior Cameron Lindell shot his best round of the tournament on Sunday with a 73 (+1) to finish with 229 (+13).
