WYOMING COWGIRLS - The Wyoming Cowgirls will host a first round game in the WNIT tonight. They host Portland state in the first round.
This will be the fourth appearance for the Cowgirls in the WNIT under head coach Joe Legerski, they made the second round in 2006, took the title in 2007 and made it to the third round last year.
We will broadcast the game live tonight on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM broadcast time is at 6:30 with the tip set for 7:00.
BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams got three players on the 4-A all state teams
Lady Broncs Kayla Woodward, Steph Sessions made the girls 1st team and for the Broncs Riley Ryan made it.
Woodward played her final season for the Lady Broncs and in now heading to become a Wyoming Cowgirl as she joins the team this fall, Sessions was the Lady Broncs second leading scorer and will be back for her senior year next season..
Ryan led the Broncs in scoring as a junior helping the Broncs to a 19-8 record and the regional tournament championship.
LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Lady Bronc soccer team will open the season Friday with a game at Riverton.
They battled injuries and inexperience a year ago but should see a dramatic turn around as most the last year's roster returns and injured players are back at full strength.
Head coach Tom Racette says the weather has been great the last couple of days and it's been nice to get outside to workout.
And with everyone back and healthy and a couple of new additions things are looking up for the program.
And he says they spent a lot of time last year with the basics and as they enter this season they are way ahead of where they were a year ago in their development.
They open at Riverton Friday and Racette says they are all looking forward to getting back on the field.
They play three on the road before the home opener Thursday March 31st against Gillette.
BRONC SOCCER - The Broncs will be involved in a road jamboree with Worland and Riverton Saturday. The broncs will play their first varsity home match next Friday against Cody.
TRACK AND FIELD - The high school track season for the Broncs and Lady Broncs is scheduled to open Saturday as Natrona county hosts their annual Early Bird invitational.
AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - Sheridan American Legion baseball will hold their pre-season player / parent meeting on Wednesday March 23rd in the cafeteria at Sheridan high school the meeting will take place at 7 pm.
All prospective Sheridan Troopers and Jets players and their parents are asked to attend.
BABE RUTH BASEBALL - Sheridan Babe Ruth baseball is currently taking registration for their upcoming season. They will be taking registration through April 3rd.
