UW Coaches attend function for fans in Sheridan / Another good spring sports weekend set to begin

COWBOY JOE - The Wyoming Cowboy Joe club held their spring membership drive kickoff last night in Sheridan.

New Cowboy football coach Craig Bohl was part of last night's program and we talked about how the transition went this spring as the new coaching staff started working with the players.

Bohl says the next step will be preparing for the coming season.

Also in Sheridan last night was Cowboy basketball coach Larry Shyatt we talked about this past season and how a young Pokes roster made a big step forward.

The Cowgirl basketball team is coming off another 20 win season, Head coach Joe Legerski tells us that the players are hungry for more in the 2014-15 season.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams they have Cheyenne Central and East on the schedule the Broncs will play at home. Game times tomorrow are at 4:00 and 6:00.

TRACK AND FIELD - The all-class Wyoming Track Classic is tomorrow in Casper. The meet it's the Wyoming all star meet with athletes from all classes competing against one another.

All of our Sheridan county teams will compete Saturday in the Casper invitational.

The outdoor regular season ends next week with a meet in Gillette with regional meets beginning May 16th the 1-A and 2-A East will be in Torrington and the 4-A East regional will be at Cheyenne South.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers play their season opening double header Sunday afternoon at the Billings Halos.

The Troops home opener is May 11th they will play a double header with the Billings Royals.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost at Arizona 5-4 last night, they play again tonight the first pitch is at 7:40 live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

The Rockies return home to begin a four games series with the New York Mets tomorrow then a quick two game home series with the Texas Rangers.
