Sheridan College Volleyball Teams up with YMCA for Youth Volleyball Camp.

Members of the SC Volleyball Team Volunteered last week in a 3-day camp at the YMCA. Approximately 40 young ladies (9-12 year olds) participated in a Volleyball Skills Camp with the Lady Generals.

The girls enjoyed their time at the Y teaching basic volleyball skills (forearm passing, setting, approach footwork, hitting, and serving). It was nice to give back to our community with the game we love!!


BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams played non-conference matches at Buffalo last night the Lady Broncs beat Buffalo shutting out the Bison 3-0 in the boys game they played into overtime and the Broncs and Bison had to settle for a 1-All overtime tie.

Both goals in the boys game were scored in the first half the Broncs got their goal on a header from Colby Wollenme, Head coach Kevin Riser.


BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams play non-conference matches in Buffalo tonight.

Both the Bison and Lady Bison are ranked #1 in class 3-A while the Broncs and Lady Broncs are both ranked in the top five in 4-A this week.

The Broncs are off to a good start going 4-1, last year they started slow and came on strong and finished second at the state championships.

Head coach Kevin Riser says they wanted to make sure they started strong this year and the players have done a good job in the first three weeks of the season.


This weekend the Sheridan College rodeo team traveled south to Fort Collins, Co to compete in their third rodeo of the spring season.

Shane Stevens stepped up again in the Bareback riding placing fourth in the first round, Shane also placed fourth in the second round and finished third in the average, all with a torn mcl in his right knee. An injury he suffered last weekend in Torrington, WY.

Bison Athletes Have Successful Weekend

Buffalo High School's sports teams had a great weekend with the soccer teams posting huge wins and the track team showing well at the Newcastle Speedgoat Classic Invite.
On Friday, the Bison soccer teams hosted the Rawlins Outlaws.
The girls played in the first game and demolished the Lady Outlaws 8-0.
The boys then shutout the Outlaws by a score of 9-0.
The Bison now stand at 4-1 and will play at Douglas then host Lander this weekend.
The girls are now 4-0 and will host Douglas and then travel to Lander to play the Lady Tigers.


BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams split their conference openers with Gillette last Thursday both teams were off over the weekend.

The Broncs beat Gillette 1-0 the Lady Broncs lost 3-0 tomorrow they resume the schedule with games in Buffalo.

The schedule remains tough for the Lady Broncs as they play two really good teams this week starting with the match in Buffalo Head coach Tom Racette.

The Lady Broncs are 3-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play.


Some of the state’s most recognized names in sports ranging from football to softball, and the memory and recognition of a collegiate cross country team are among newest class of inductees into the Wyoming Sports Hall of Fame.

Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss, longtime girls softball coach Ray Sanchez, the sibling trio of Corte, Ryan and Megan McGuffey are part of the class. So are the eight members of the University of Wyoming cross country team who died in an automobile accident in 2001, along with coach Jim Sanchez and the student-athletes who finished the season.


There were 21 junior teams competing in Denver last Saturday (March 26th) at the Maestas Team Challenge Taekwon-Do Tournament.

Sheridan Taekwon-Do Club sent two teams. Each 5-member team competed in Team Patterns, then each competitor individually in power breaking and in sparring, within their age/rank divisions.

Total points were accumulated to achieve a team score.

Adults competed in individual Patterns, Breaking, and Sparring.
