US AM GOLF - Former Sheridan Bronc golfer Taylor Reed was eliminated from the US Amateur golf championships in Denver Tuesday. He opened play Monday at Cherry Hills country club and shot a 5 over par 76 his second round score was 80.
Reed was the only Wyoming golfer in this year's field nearly 300 players qualified for this year's event which used two different courses for the stroke play format over the first and second rounds.
The top 64 players start match play today.
RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams start day three of two a days today. Head coach Micheal McGuire starts his first season with the Rams and says he pleased with what he's seen so far.
McGuire had all summer with the players for a couple of camps and in the weight room he says they have a good group of returning seniors and they are doing a good job of picking up a new system.
The Rams have three weeks of practice until the first game and McGuire says they don't want to get too far ahead of themselves and make sure they are ready for the opener on the 31st.
They open the season on the 31st on the road at Greybull. they host Burns in week two.
BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team is 10 days away from their season opener at Cheyenne Central the game will be played a week from Friday and will kickoff at 6:00.
We will broadcast it live for on 14-10 KWYO and on Sports / Talk 87.7 FM broadcast time will be at 5:30 with the First Federal savings bank pregame show. The Broncs will host Natrona county on August 31st.
EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles open at Lyman on August 31st and play their home opener in week two with Glenrock. We will hear from TR Head coach John Scott Thursday.
COWBOYS - The Wyoming football Cowboys will open their season September 1st at Texas that will be followed by the home opener against Toledo.
BRONCOS - The Denver Broncos play at home Saturday night against Seattle. We will broadcast the game for you on 14-10 KWYO and Sports / Talk 87.7 FM. Broadcast time will be at 4:05.
GOLF - The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers will play at their first tournament tomorrow and Friday in Riverton.
VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team will open their season on the 24th at a tournament in Riverton.
SWIMMING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers open on the 24th and 25th at the Casper relays and Gillette pentathlon.
CROSS COUNTRY - The Sheridan high school cross country runners will open at an invitational in Cody on the 24th and host the "Michelle Ludwig" invitational on the 31st.
TENNIS - The Sheridan Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams will open in Jackson next Thursday.
