SHS VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan Lady Bronc volleyball team will play at home tonight. The Lady Broncs host Gillette, with the varsity match scheduled to begin at 7 o'clock.

Gillette will come back to Sheridan Saturday and join the Lady Broncs and the Casper schools for a Round Robin Tournament with four teams from Montana. They will play Billings West, Billings Senior, Skyview and Bozeman, Montana. The Lady Broncs and Gillette will play at Sheridan High School, while the Casper schools play at the Sheridan Junior High. The first matches will begin at 11 am, and the final matches will start at 4:30. The Lady Broncs will open with Bozeman, then play West, Senior and Skyview. The games are scheduled for 11 am, 12:30 pm, 3 pm and 4:30 pm.

BH/TR VOLLEYBALL - The Big Horn Lady Rams will join the Big Horn football team playing in Thermopolis Friday, then head back home to play Sundance Saturday.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles will play at a tournament Friday and Saturday hosted by Riverside and Greybull High Schools.

SC VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan College Lady Generals will be on the road this week. They play at Western Wyoming in Rock Springs Thursday night, then head over to Riverton Friday for a match at Central Wyoming. The Lady Generals will play the next several matches on the road before ending the regular season with six straight at home beginning October 20th.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The latest Wyoming high school football rankings will come out tomorrow, and barring any ballot box stuffing, the Sheridan Broncs should be the new #1 team in 4-A. The Broncs are 4-1 overall; two of those victories are against former #1-ranked teams. The Broncs must avoid a let-down after the big win at Gillette last week when they host Laramie Friday night.

It's also Homecoming Week at Sheridan High School. A community tailgate party will start at 5 o'clock Friday at Homer Scott Stadium. U.S. Bank will give out footballs to the first 150 kids, plus there will be other giveaways, lots of food, fun and football.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams will look to bounce back from their loss at Glenrock last Friday when they get set to play this week at Thermopolis.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles will try for their first win of the season Friday afternoon with a home game against Wright. That game will be the first game of our Friday football double-header on AM 1410 KWYO. Ron Richter will have the Eagles' play-by-play; broadcast time Friday will be at 1:45 starting with the First Federal Pre-game Show. Kick-off is at 2 o'clock. Then we head back to Sheridan for the Broncs and Laramie Plainsmen Homecoming match-up. The First Federal Pre-game Show that evening will start at 6:30, with kick-off set for 7 o'clock.

WOLVES FOOTBALL - The NSI Wolves have a home game on their schedule, but will play it at a neutral site Saturday afternoon. They are scheduled to play Southeast, meeting half-way in Casper to play at 3 o'clock.

UW - The Wyoming Cowboys are 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the Mountain West Conference. The Pokes will play on the road at Florida Atlantic University Saturday in Fort Lauderdale. Florida Atlantic plays in the Sunbelt Conference and are 0-3 heading into the game.

The Owls' head coach is none other than longtime head coach Howard Schnellenberger. He put the University of Miami on the map back in 1983 with the Hurricanes, and won their first National Championship beating Nebraska in the Orange Bowl. Schnellenberger has been coaching football for 50 years; on his resume you'll find he was the offensive coordinator for the 17-0 Miami Dolphins, the only team in NFL history to have a perfect season.

Saturday's game can be heard live on AM 1410 KWYO. Cowboy pre-game will start at 1 o'clock, with kickoff at 2 o'clock.

NFL - The Denver Broncos will play at home Sunday afternoon against Dallas. Broadcast time is 1 pm with kick-off at 2:15 on AM 1410 KWYO.

SWIMMING/DIVING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers are coming off a tough weekend of competition. They lost a dual to Jackson, and finished 6th in the Sheridan Invitational. They have a change to their schedule this week: they will dual the Casper schools Thursday instead of Friday so they can attend Homecoming activities at Sheridan High School.

CROSS-COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross-country teams will run at the Billings Invitational Saturday afternoon. The meet will be run at Riverfront Park.

MLB - The Colorado Rockies lead Atlanta in the wild card race in the National League by two games. The Braves picked up a half-game last night while the Rockies were off. The Rockies open a 3-game home series with Milwaukee tonight.
