FOOTBALL - Taking a look at football action this week, all four of our Sheridan County teams will play on the road Friday. The Sheridan Broncs are 3-1 overall and will play at Gillette. The Camels are 4-0, and ranked #1 in 4-A.

The Big Horn Rams have won two in a row, and will play at unbeaten Glenrock Friday. The Tongue River Eagles will be looking for their first win of the season Friday on the road at Burns, and the NSI Wolves, coming off their first win of the season, will play at Hulett. We will have two games live for you Friday night: we will be with the Broncs in Gillette on AM 1410 KWYO, and the Big Horn Rams will be in Glenrock. You can hear that game on our sister station 95.9 FM.

UW - The Wyoming Cowboys are back in Laramie Saturday to open Mountain West Conference play with UNLV, and the Denver Broncos in open division play at Oakland Sunday.

Joe Tiller went 39-30-1 in six seasons as the head coach of the Wyoming Cowboys. He took the Pokes to the Copper Bowl after the 1993 season, and in his final season in 1996, Tiller took the Pokes to one of their best seasons ever with a 10-2 record. It was also a big letdown as the Pokes didn't receive a bowl bid that year.

Tiller went on to coach a dozen seasons at Purdue and turned around the Boilermakers' program with 10 bowl game appearances during those 12 years. Following his final season in 2008, Tiller called it a career; he and his wife Arnett now reside just down the road in Buffalo.

Last week, Trevor Jackson had a chance to catch up with Tiller to see how retirement is treating him. You can hear the entire conversation Saturday morning on our Coaches Show on KWYO beginning at 8 o'clock.

HS GOLF - The fall golf season will close out with the Broncs and Lady Broncs at their State Tournament in Cheyenne Friday and Saturday, while the Tongue River and Big Horn golfers play at their State Tournament in Hulett.

VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan and Big Horn teams play at the Casper Invitational this weekend. The Tongue River girls play at Wright Friday and at home with Sundance Saturday.

The Sheridan College Lady Generals will be playing at the annual Wyoming / Nebraska Shootout in Torrington and Scottsbluff Nebraska.

CROSS COUNTRY / SWIMMING - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross-country runners are coming from team victories in the “Michelle Ludwig” Invitational, and will be at the Rapid City Invitational Friday.

The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will be home all weekend; they have a dual with Cheyenne Central Friday and host the Sheridan Invitational Saturday.

LIVE BROADCAST SCHEDULE - We will have the Sheridan Broncs at Gillette on AM 1410 KWYO Friday night. The First Federal Pre-game Show starts the broadcast at 6:30.

Ron Richter will be with the Big Horn Rams in Glenrock Friday night on our sister station 95.9 FM. The First Federal Pre-game begins at 6:45.

On Saturday Wyoming hosts UNLV; we'll have it for you live on AM 1410 KWYO; broadcast time is at noon. And on Sunday, the Denver Broncos play at Oakland; broadcast time is 1 o'clock.
