LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Lady Generals begin Sub-Region play with a record of 12-4 overall. They have one win over Little Big Horn already, but tonight's game counts in the Sub-Region standings -- a game that they have to get on the road. Head coach Frank McCarthy. And McCarthy says they expect a good challenge in tonight's game.

GENERALS BASKETBALL - This is a big Sub-Region season for the Generals as the North winner will host the Men's Region 9 tournament in March. The Generals start Sub-Region play with a 12-2 record. Head coach Steve Smiley says it is a big game but they try to treat every game with the same importance.

Since Little Big Horn came into the league, the Generals have lost to them only once; that was three years ago and they know how dangerous the Rams can be, especially on their home court.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers are coming off a 6th place finish at the Douglas Invitational. Seven Broncs placed in that tournament, including one champion as Clay Carter won the 130-pound weight class.

Trevor Goss and Devan Reilly placed 3rd in their divisions; Jay Sandvig had a 5th place finish; and Hayden Richins, Derek Berrertini and Lucus Giesey all had 6th place finishes.

Tonight the Broncs get back on the mat with a dual in Buffalo.

BRONC AND LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams end their non-Conference schedule this week.

The Broncs host Billings West Friday night, while the Lady Broncs will play at West. Saturday afternoon the Lady Broncs are at home with Natrona County, while the Broncs play in Casper.

We will broadcast the Bronc games live Friday and Saturday on AM 1410 KWYO and 95.9 FM. Friday night's game is scheduled for 7:30 and Saturday at 4:30.

RAMS / EAGLES BASKETBALL - The Big Horn and Tongue River basketball teams get together for the first time this season Friday at Big Horn High School. The Girls Varsity game will start at 4:30 and the boys go at 6 o'clock. The Rams and Lady Rams will also play at home Saturday against Kaycee.

The Eagles will host Riverside Saturday, with the Lady Eagles playing at Riverside over in Basin.

BRONC SWIMMING AND DIVING - The Bronc swimmers and divers hit the road this week for duals and an invitational in Cheyenne Friday and Saturday.

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL TRACK - Sheridan High School indoor track season gets underway this week with the first meet of the year at Black Hills State in Spearfish, South Dakota.

UW BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys are 1-1 in Mountain West Conference play and are on the road tonight for a league game at TCU. We will have the game for you live tonight on AM 1410 KWYO and 95.9 FM. Broadcast time is 5:00.

ELKS HOOP SHOOT - Here are the winners from the annual Elks hoop shoot: in the 8-9-year-old age division, both winners were from Sheridan -- the Girls winner was Madyson Godwin and the Boys champion was Parker Christianson.

In the 10-11-year-old age division, Bridget Blaney of Buffalo took 1st place in the Girls division; Quinton Suska of Sheridan won the Boys championship. And in the 12-13-year-old age group, Keely Ferguson from Buffalo was the Girls champion and Brock Gransbery took the Boys title. All the winners advance to the District Elks hoop shoot set for January 30th in Greybull.

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL - Former Major League Baseball slugger Mark Mcquire came clean yesterday in an interview with Bob Kostas on MLB TV. Mcguire admitted he used steroids for a decade, including his record-setting season in 1998 when he hit 70 homeruns.

Mcguire returns to the big leagues this season as the hitting coach with his former team, the St. Louis Cardinals.
